Payment policy.
How we handle your money, your card, and everything in between. Plain English, no fine print games.
Accepted payment methods
We accept all major debit and credit cards, plus the most widely used digital wallets. Pick whatever’s fastest at checkout.
If your preferred method isn’t listed and you’re trying to buy a piece, email payments@sp5streetwear.com and we’ll see what we can do.
Currency & pricing
All prices on the site are listed and processed in US dollars (USD). The amount you confirm at checkout is the amount we charge.
If you’re paying with a card issued outside the United States, your bank converts the charge using their daily exchange rate. The amount on your statement may differ slightly from the total shown at checkout.
International card fees, foreign-transaction fees, and currency-conversion margins are set by your bank — we don’t see them and we can’t reimburse them.
Payment security
Our checkout runs over a fully encrypted TLS 1.3 connection. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant processor.
We never see, store, or transmit your full card number. The only thing we keep is the last four digits, used for receipts and to help you identify the card if you call about an order.
Saved payment methods — if you choose to save one — are tokenized and held by our processor, not by us. If our servers were hacked tomorrow, your card information wouldn’t be there.
When we charge you
For pieces marked in stock, your card is charged immediately at the moment you place the order. This is also what secures your specific edition number — we don’t pre-reserve or hold pieces between checkout and payment.
For pieces marked pre-order, your card is authorized at checkout and captured only when we ship. If the pre-order is cancelled for any reason, the authorization is released automatically and you’re not charged.
Limited editions & holds
SP513 is released in finite, numbered runs. When a piece is gone, it’s gone — no restocks, no waitlist queue, no hidden inventory.
In the rare case that two orders are placed at the same moment for the last available unit, the order timestamp determines who gets it. If you were the second order by milliseconds:
- The charge is voided immediately on our side
- The authorization will fall off your bank statement within 3–5 business days
- You’ll get an email from us within minutes explaining what happened
The edition number you see at checkout is the one we ship. If something happens between checkout and packing — extremely rare — we’ll email you before substituting a different number.
Failed payments
If your card is declined, your order won’t be placed and you won’t be charged. The most common reasons:
- 3D Secure authentication failed or timed out
- Billing address didn’t match what’s on file with your bank (AVS mismatch)
- Insufficient funds or hit daily spending limit
- Card flagged for foreign transactions
- Card expired
You can retry with the same card after fixing the issue, or use a different method. If the problem keeps happening, your bank is usually the fastest fix — a quick call to authorize the transaction normally solves it in under a minute.
Refunds
Once a return is received and approved (see our Returns Policy for the full process), your refund is issued to the original payment method within 2 business days.
After we issue the refund, the funds typically appear on your statement within:
- 3–5 business days for US credit and debit cards
- 1–2 business days for PayPal and Shop Pay
- 5–10 business days for international cards
Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is the result of an error on our end (wrong item shipped, manufacturing defect, etc.). Express and overnight shipping fees are never refundable.
Sales tax & duties
US orders. Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and the applicable state and local rate. You see the exact amount before you confirm the order — no surprises after.
International orders. The price shown at checkout does not include import duties, VAT, or GST charged by your country’s customs office. These are billed by the courier or customs at delivery and are the customer’s responsibility.
Refusing a package to avoid paying duties does not entitle you to a refund of the original shipping cost. If the package is returned to us, we’ll refund the order minus shipping and any return-handling fees charged by the carrier.
Fraud & verification
Every order is screened with industry-standard fraud tools. For higher-risk transactions, your bank may trigger 3D Secure — a one-time SMS code, app push, or biometric confirmation. This is your bank’s tool, not ours, and we can’t bypass it.
On rare occasions — typically for high-value orders shipping to a new address — we may email you to verify your identity before shipping. If we do, the email will always come from a verified @sp5streetwear.com domain.
We will never ask you for your full card number, your CVC, your bank password, or any other login credentials. Emails from us asking for that information are not from us.
Disputes & chargebacks
If you see a charge from us that you don’t recognize, or you think something has gone wrong, email us first at payments@sp5streetwear.com. We respond within one business day, and most issues can be resolved within the same conversation.
Opening a chargeback with your bank before contacting us slows everything down for both sides — and can actually delay any refund you’re owed by 30–60 days, since the funds get frozen by the dispute process.
If we made a mistake, we’ll fix it. We’ve never had a chargeback we couldn’t solve with a five-minute email.
Talk to a human.
Payment issues are usually one short email away from being solved. We answer every message within one business day.
